The JDMIS is a leader in the jewellery arts education Arena, providing an extensive curriculum which covers the widest scope of any institution in South East Asia. In order to maintain and improve this standing, the quality of our academics is of utmost importance; as such, the JDMIS has a specialized management unit devoted to academic issues, the Academic Board.
The academic board consists of individuals with interest and expertise in the matters of academic governance of the JDMIS. Tanja Sadow, as Dean, will be responsible for convening and working with this board to address matters related to curriculum development, student and teacher performance and educational effectiveness. Tanja M. Sadow, Dean of the JDMIS, will provide guidance, by way of over four decades of experience in the field of education in Jewellery Arts, continued support in curriculum development and will oversee the quality of instruction. Tanja’s public and professional reputation in Singapore, and throughout the Jewellery Industry, together with her extensive network of contacts within the jewellery education, retail and wholesale industries will provide an invaluable support to the JDMIS and its students.

Bhavik's passion for branding and design have left their mark on the JDMIS' own image since its inception. An interior architect, brand manager and product designer, Bhavik brings many elements of the commercial world to the school's design and business programmes.
Director, Jewellery Design & Management International School
Alex's familiarity with the jewellery industry, love for new technologies used in jewellery design and fabrication, and his experience starting and operating business in three continents helps guide the schools business and design programmes. Alex is also the primary point of contact for administrative processes related to the school's academic operations and can steer these to ensure the board's policy decisions are effectively implemented.
Students at the JDMIS are ensured rewarding training experiences by the quality of their instructors. All JDMIS instructors and visiting instructors are experienced artists, educators and/or industry members and are selected because of their knowledge and passion for the jewellery field. While many may not have stratospheric qualifications themselves, such documents matter little in the a vocation such as jewellery - where artistic ability, industry experience and strong ability and desire to share knowledge are paramount.

Tanja is an award winning jewellery designer & gemmologist with more than 4 decades of experience educating the jewellery industry across 4 continents. Dean and founder of JDMIS, Tanja works with aspiring artisans as well as top jewellery brand team members to help them achieve brilliance in their careers.
Alex has been training designers and business owners from the region in 3D jewellery design and manufacturing since 2008: building the CAD/CAM skills of over 400 jewellery professionals. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors'degree in Computer Science, Marketing and Management and from INSEAD with a Masters' Degree in Business Administration.
A former corporate trainer and speaker, Wahab is also a passionate jewellery artist specializing in wire sculpting and fabrication using powdered metals. Wahab is an accredited jewellery professional with GIA and brings over 15 years of experience in these specialities to the JDMIS Precious Metal Arts and Fashion Jewellery Arts programmes. Many of his most unique design styles are self taught and he shares these with his Thread and Wire and Metal Clay students on a part-time basis.
Sujata is an experienced teacher and fashion jewellery artist specializing in thread and wire jewellery fabrication techniques. Moving to Singapore, she used the opportunity to enrolled into JDMIS and after graduation, she soon became a recognized jewellery artist with her own brand name, Mila
A marine engineer of 24 years, Tameem rekindled his passion for product design in 2004 and graduated from JDMIS' Metal Clay Arts and Digital Jewellery Design programmes. He went on to start his own jewellery and production label, creating hundreds of designs for his customers before eventually joining JDMIS as an instructor to impart his practical knowledge to the next generation of jewellery designers.
Sharon Tan was previously a seasoned marketer and accomplished figure skating coach. Her unique blend of skills, creative passion, and teaching acumen enables her to effectively impart complex jewellery techniques to her students and inspire them to greater heights and success even beyond the classroom.
Cherry's background as a psychology graduate & therapy practitioner enriches her approach, blending emotional intelligence with artistic flair. Her commitment to craft, coupled with her extensive investment in jewellery education, empowers her to impart intricate techniques with clarity and inspire her students to pursue their own paths.
The school also invites internationally renowned jewellery artists and educators to visit Singapore and share their knowledge in the form of specialized short workshops on specific skills and topics.
